My Famous Banana Cupcakes!?

My banana cake/cupcakes seems to be my most popular flavor. My co-workers are always looking forward to a time when I will bring a batch in. One of my coworkers told me when I brought these in last time that they were the best cupcakes she has ever had, and she's a self proclaimed cupcakes expert! She's eaten at some of the well known bakeries and cupcakeries so I take that as a huge compliment.
Anyway not to toot my own horn but I am always amazed and the feedback I get when people taste and/or see my cakes.
I also had fun playing with melted chocolate on these. I love the little extra it brought to the cake and it was so fun and easy. Can't wait to use that technique again.

Graduation Cake

Its been a while I know, but I took a little break due to a couple of vacations in the month of  May.
Here is a cake I did for a middle school graduation. I heard this girl had a rough go at middle school. I sure hope the kids in high school treat her better. She is an amazing, talented kid.
The cake is red velvet with cream cheese frosting.

Purple Dahlias

Banana cake with cream cheese filling for
one of the doctors/owners of the clinic I work at.
It was her 50th birthday.
I used the dahlia tutorial found on the Sweet Creations by Stephanie blog page for the flowers.
They were fun to make and turned out pretty well.
Thanks Stephanie!

Daisy Cake

Cute little daisy cake for a mom who remembers how her son would go out in the yard
and always bring her back bouquets of white daisies especially for his Mama.
Chocolate cake with Chocolate Swiss Meringue Buttercream.

Pink Cake withWhite Bow

This was a birthday cake for a co-worker's sister.
She wanted it to look like a present, and it had to be girly.
The Birthday Girl loved it.

Purple dots and pink flowers

This cake was for Jordan, who was celebrating her first birthday.
The big cake is Chocolate cake with Oreo buttercream
and the birthday girl's cake was vanilla with vanilla buttercream.
I am pleased with how this one turned out.
Hope the family enjoyed the cake and hope Jordan had a great first birthday!
